On Tuesday April 26, we hosted the second iPECS Insights Forum of 2022. These monthly webinars help us share important information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive, and inspirational.
April’s webinar was hosted by Yuno Jung, Head of International sales at Ericsson-LG Enterprise, and also featured Heejeong Lee, Senior UX designer. Yuno’s presentation discussed new ways of working and how iPECS ONE can enable the creation of a hybrid workplace.
The world of work is changing. Businesses are now prioritizing continuity and collaboration far more than ever before. Working from home is now an accepted and supported part of business life, and employees are more productive in remote environments.
Businesses are recognizing and supporting these changes. Businesses are now expecting and ready to invest more into tools for virtual collaboration and remote management, as well as IT infrastructure. Only a third of employees are currently satisfied with the technology they use for work, and this creates a huge opportunity.
The options are not just to be in the office or to work from home. Yuno explained that hybrid working takes the best elements of office culture and combines it with the flexibility of working from home. Hybrid working is now the most popular way of working, and major companies are now switching to this model, as we are at Ericsson-LG Enterprise.
43% of remote staff claim that they do not feel included during meetings. The move towards hybrid is likely to be a permanent one, and as technology providers we need to support this.
Yuno explained that iPECS ONE is the solution designed to meet the needs of hybrid workers. It caters to the five key needs of hybrid workers anywhere: availability, scalability, engagement, collaboration, and reliability.
iPECS ONE works effectively on any device, all through a single application that is quick and easy for any user to install.
Yuno then welcomed Heejeong Lee to the webinar, who introduced to attendees the design principles that shaped the UX of iPECS ONE. Heejeong explained the three values that iPECS ONE’s design is based upon.
These include customer centered design; the experience has to be easy to use and understandable at all times. iPECS ONE also has to be able to react to new trends, including both features and the ability to adjust to new user habits. Finally, Heejeong gave an overview of the visual communication system that allows iPECS ONE’s interface to remain user friendly even as new features are added.
iPECS ONE’s features for hybrid work are powered by WebRTC. It is WebRTC that means that iPECS ONE requires zero installation and remains secure. Yuno recommended attendees read a 2021 blog from Pragma Director Will Morey to learn more about WebRTC.
Finally, Yuno recommended iPECS solutions that work alongside iPECS ONE to create a complete hybrid working platform. These include CRM integration and Wi-Fi dongles.
The next iPECS insights session will be hosted in May. We hope to welcome you then to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
