On Tuesday 23rd of March, we hosted the second iPECS Insights Forum of 2021. These monthly webinars help us share important information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive and inspirational.

The webinar for March was hosted by Philip Jung, a Subject Matter Expert from Ericsson-LG Enterprise with great experience on the iPECS Cloud platform. The focus of this month’s presentation was the iPECS Cloud’s P4 update, and the latest set of changes coming to the iPECS Cloud portfolio.

The meeting was split into three main sections: iPECS ONE 2.0, iPECS Cloud Contact Centre Solution, iPECS Cloud 4.0 Highlights

iPECS ONE 2.0:

Philip began the webinar with a full overview of iPECS ONE; he introduced many of iPECS ONE’s features and explained its role as the successor of UCE and iPECS Meetings. One main focus of this section was to highlight the flexibility of Web RTC as well as the many ways you can collaborate and share content with internal and external users through iPECS ONE.

There was also an introduction to the levels of iPECS ONE’s user licenses, Entry, Standard and Premium. Services such as multi-device capability will be included for Standard and Premium users only. To give attendees a better understanding of the platform, Philip gave a full tutorial of the iPECS ONE’s interface, from how to navigate the home screen, to making different types of calls.

Philip also explored many of iPECS ONE’s useful productivity features, such as presence, which allows you to quickly see which of your team members are available to collaborate. CRM integration was also highlighted. Philip finally introduced some of the enhancements that are coming soon for iPECS ONE, including Outlook Calendar integration, expansion onto more browsers and meeting recording.

The next part of the session covered how iPECS ONE can be used as a service for on-premise phone systems. PBX users can still take advantage of iPECS ONE by connecting their UCP system to the iPECS Cloud via SIP Trunk, allowing on-premise users to access iPECS ONE through a mobile extension.

iPECS Cloud as a Contact Centre Solution:

Next Philip turned to introduce Contact Center Solution options of iPECS Cloud which are currently available. The built-in solution has been packaged with the core components of iPECS Cloud such as ACD Group, Call Recording, Analytics and iPECS One is very much suitable to cost-effective Call Center market. For the high-end and customizable Contact Center market, Ericsson-LG Enterprise recommend to make the partnership with local and global Contact Center solution venders through tight integration based on SIP interface and iPECS open API.

iPECS Cloud 4.0 Highlights:

Finally, Philip explained some of the latest updates reaching the iPECS Cloud in version 4.0. Various type of Open APIs allows for Service Provider, Reseller and Customer to integrate to iPECS Cloud external applications which are required to improve their business process and environment as many as possible and easily, and 3rd party Contact Center solution is one of examples.

MS Teams Integration is another feature being introduced to iPECS Cloud. Even though this integration is based on Teams Direct Routing Interface which is a kind of SIP Trunk, iPECS Cloud can delivery much rich feature set through the partnership with Call2Teams unlike the other venders who is offering only basic call service to/from PSTN.

The premium 1080i handset will also launch alongside Cloud 4.0. This handset features a programmable background image and many advanced features, such as multi-terminal support and SBC routing for on-net calls.

Philip ended his presentation by sharing some of the new analytics and technical features coming to iPECS Cloud in 4.0. Contact Ericsson-LG Enterprise to book a technical training course for an in-depth look at these new features.

The next iPECS insight session will be hosted in April. We hope to welcome you at this time to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
