On Tuesday June 28, we hosted the fourth iPECS Insights Forum of 2022. These monthly webinars help us share valuable information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive, and inspirational.

June’s webinar was hosted by Ericsson-LG Enterprise Head of International Sales Yuno Jung, together with Account Manager of US, Chuck Ferber. June’s session of Insights centered around how businesses can build value using the new virtualized UCP platform.

Yuno first gave a brief overview of what iPECS vUCP is. iPECS vUCP is a software-based call server, running on VMware’s virtual environment. It allows businesses to replace their physical call servers with ones that are hosted remotely. This unlocks a range of features and benefits, and Yuno next took a look at the value proposition.

iPECS vUCP has seen huge growth in recent years as a platform that helps to mitigate supply chain risk. As they are a virtual platform, they can be deployed far more efficiently than physical hardware. This allows businesses more agility and resilience. As the platform is maintained and installed virtually, there is less room for human error, and a reduced risk of downtime.

iPECS vUCP can be scaled up simply whenever needed, with a maximum of 2,400 ports. It helps to save time for businesses’ IT teams. Due to the reduced time spent maintaining and upgrading iPECS vUCP, IT infrastructure costs are also brought down significantly.

iPECS vUCP has been repeatedly upgraded alongside the iPECS Unified portfolio. iPECS Unified 5.0 saw major upgrades such as Hybrid GR, the introduction of trial licenses and single instance. In iPECS Unified 6.0, iPECS vUCP will see integration with MS Azure.

Yuno then explained the business case for iPECS vUCP. This included an explanation on how deploying a single instance iPECS vUCP platform helped businesses to reduce costs while improving capabilities. Yuno also explained the benefit of iPECS vUCP’s 90-day free trial, allowing customers to experience the benefits of the platform, without the need for an aggressive sales strategy.

With the virtualization market now expanding significantly, there is a huge need for services like iPECS vUCP. At the end of the Insights presentation, we heard from global partners about how they have already seen high adoption of this service.

We hope to welcome you on the next iPECS insights session to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
