On the 22nd of December we hosted our fourth iPECS insights forum. These monthly webinars help us share important information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive and inspirational.
December’s presentation was hosted by Hangsuk Cho, senior international sales engineer at Ericsson-LG Enterprise and was titled New Normal for iPECS. This webinar was focused on introducing our global partners to some of the great advancements and new tools that will come to define the iPECS platform in the coming year.
1080i Handsets
One of the standout highlights of Hangsuk’s webinar was the introduction to the new 1080i Premium IP Phone. This new flagship system is the first IP phone to offer native support for Android 10 OS. The 1080i allows users to access a range of industry leading functionality including built-in support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HD audio and video and a high-quality video camera with privacy cover. The 1080i is set to redefine what an executive IP phone can be. This system will be launching in 2021.
vUCP
Hangsuk also introduced some of the fantastic new changes that will be taking place to the virtualization platform in the year ahead. Our vUCP range has been massively expanded via Unified 4.1 and now allows for a free extended trial period for our partners to offer to their customers at no extra cost. Hosted server requirements have also been reduced greatly for vUCP making it more cost effective for partners to deploy vUCP as a private solution.
vUCP now allows for businesses to access the full functionality of a UCP call server with the flexibility and resilience of our cloud platform. We have seen a massive increase in both public and private cloud uptake over the past year, and to be able to provide a comprehensive phone system through the cloud without any limitations will benefit many more businesses moving into 2021.
Unified 4.1 & Unified 5.0
Many new valuable features have been added into our Unified 4.1 platform in this most recent update, including MS Teams integration through Call2Teams. As long as your business is equipped with Unified 4.1, Call2Teams and MS Teams licenses, you can now fully integrate Teams into your communications network.
Hangsuk was also excited to discuss a host of new additions on the way in version 5.0. New features being implemented include Caller ID information, group calls, idle on hold and programmable call messaging, where customers can be informed of important information such as terms and conditions automatically.
IPCR 3.2
The iPECS IP call recording platform has also received a major update. Now supported in Amazon Web Services, call recording can be performed completely through the cloud to reduce server reliance and support more flexible businesses. New normal requires more silent monitoring, allowing you to listen to agent performance without the customer experience being interrupted.
Browser-based access allows managers to monitor calls from any location via a web browser. This versatility makes call monitoring far more accessible and is possible through Unified 4.1 & 5.0.
CRM Support
Finally, Hangsuk introduced CRM integration options that the current iPECS supports for new normal. Out of the box support from CCX for 13 other well-known CRM platforms enables screen-popping and other useful features. There is also an API introduced to allow for more bespoke CRM integrations for businesses that need a specialist approach.
These exciting product updates demonstrated some of the ways the iPECS portfolio is adapting to meet a New Normal. We are so excited to see how our global partners will utilize these enhancements to support businesses across the globe.
The next iPECS insight session will be hosted in January. We hope to welcome you then to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
