On Tuesday 29th of March, we hosted the first iPECS Insights Forum of 2022. These monthly webinars help us share important information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive, and inspirational.

March’s webinar was hosted by Ericsson-LG Enterprise iPECS Solution Expert, Hangsuk Cho. The event provided attendees with a detailed look at the new updates coming to the iPECS Unified platform in version 6.0. Hangsuk also provided his tips on how to best use some of the key features of the Unified platform.

Version 6.0 of the iPECS Unified platform launched in Q4 of 2021. It came equipped with helpful new features such as hot-desking support, a simultaneous ring option for ACD groups and support for BT SIP trunks as a failover option. The vUCP platform has also been further enhanced with support for MS Azure.

It is important to note that an internet connection is required and needs successful authentication at initial deployment or when upgrading to V6 of the Unified platform.

Hangsuk also detailed some new updates coming to the Unified platform’s range of applications. These updates will be coming to the UCS, IP Attendant, CCX and IPCR applications. Improvements include enhanced UX, management and security features, and IT environment updates.

IPCR especially is seeing a big update in version 3.3 including a modernized GUI and scheduled email reporting. A new feature is email reporting for abnormal events. These notifications can be sent to managers if an agent has not logged any calls during a set time.

The CCX application will see integration with AWS in version 1.2. CCX will also see a range of new features and integrations which Hangsuk detailed during the webinar.

After detailing these new updates, Hangsuk shared some of his top tips for making the most of the Unified platform. This included a deeper look at the range of 3rd party Web APIs available on Unified and how to access each of them. Hangsuk also provided an overview of how Unified can support over 70 major CRM platforms and the requirements for accessing new integrations.

We are very happy with the launch of Unified 6.0 and are excited to introduce more new product updates to our global partners throughout 2022.

The next iPECS Insights session will be hosted in April. We hope to welcome you then to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
