On Tuesday 30th of August, we hosted the fifth iPECS Insights Forum of 2022. These monthly webinars help us share important information with our community of partners and are designed to be informative, interactive, and inspirational.
August’s webinar was presented by Aria Technologies Australia’s Peter Williamson and Marlon Samson. Aria have seen huge recent successes, winning Telstra’s Distributor of the Year Award this month. This is due to some great products, but also intelligent sales strategies.
These strategies include the topic of August’s webinar, business continuity.
What is business continuity?
Business continuity is about planning for disruptions and emergencies, to ensure your business can still function. This has been crucial to the Australian market, as well as many others around the globe. Challenging weather, global pandemics and economic difficulties, and logistics have all affected workflows. Businesses need to be able to provide an agile solution to their teams to address these challenges.
Peter explained that every business needs a business continuity plan. Nobody thinks an emergency is going to affect them, until it does. Businesses need to limit interruptions to their operations and empower their employees to handle crises effectively. The less downtime a business experiences, the less money they will lose. Digital services are the best way to make this happen.
How iPECS supports your business continuity offering
Marlon explained that your business continuity proposition should be based around four key facts:
- Effectively using 4G and 5G is essential to getting back up and running quickly.
- Cybersecurity measures help to prevent disaster.
- Users need to be able to access their communications through softphones.
- Businesses need to be proactive in preparing for disaster, not reactive.
The iPECS portfolio can help to deliver excellent business continuity. Thanks to features like mobile extensions, call recording and Microsoft Teams Integration, iPECS has helped to support businesses through many challenging scenarios.
iPECS has the benefit of being great for business continuity, no matter whether businesses use an on-premises, cloud or hybrid solution. Even iPECS handsets offer business continuity, with the 1040i and 1050i recognizing when they are in out of service mode, and automatically directing calls to mobile.
Marlon elaborated by saying when services like Microsoft Teams have an outage, businesses can use iPECS services like iPECS2Teams to provide a complete failover. Calls will still ring to the right operators, even if the Teams interface is not working.
The flexibility and ease of use of iPECS ONE adds an extra layer of efficiency. CRM integration helps businesses to access the services they need wherever they work.
We would like to thank Peter and Marlon for giving their time to share their thoughts. We also wish to congratulate them for their recent success. We hope to welcome you on the next iPECS insights session in September to share your thoughts and learn from our industry experts.
